Investor Registry
The owner of the fund is you.
The fund manager works for you and the other investors in the fund.
But do you know who your fellow investors are?
Why Register?
When U.S. investors in the same fund find each other, the economics of remediation change.
What This Costs
This is a free service. The registry exists to support investor coordination and to build the infrastructure for collective remediation. There is no fee to register and no obligation to purchase any service.
PFIC Help believes in Investor protection through Investor connection
How It Works
-
Step 1: Registration
Fill out the Investor Registry form with your name, fund name, and basic subscription details. Attach your subscription documents for verification as an investor in the fund(s).
-
Step 2: Verification
I verify every Investor Registry entry through the review of relevant subscription documents. This keeps the registry credible and protects everyone in it.
-
Step 3: Connection
Once verified, I will connect you with other U.S. investors who have registered and who invested in the same fund. From there, you decide how to coordinate.
You didn’t create this problem. Misleading marketing practices, fund structure, gaps in reporting, and the professional infrastructure around it created this problem. But under U.S. tax law, the consequences land on you unless you act. The window to mitigate them is limited.
