Issuer Services
What We Offer
PFIC Help by Golden Visa Direct maps the gaps at the boundaries between systems, where offshore offerings in residency-by-investment programs meet U.S. securities law and U.S. tax rules.
While Golden Visa Direct primarily supports U.S. taxpayers evaluating qualifying investments for residency-by-investment programs, and PFIC Help primarily supports U.S. investors in analyzing their U.S. tax exposure resulting from an offshore holding, Amy Short also provides consulting to a limited number of issuers seeking to approach the U.S. market in compliance with U.S. law.
The work focuses on U.S. regulatory requirements, U.S. tax positioning and compliant reporting, investor-facing credibility, and market intelligence. These are not capital-raising engagements. The analytical work does not represent an endorsement of any particular offering. The work is not tax, legal, or investment advice. We cannot and will not engage in tax work if there are unaddressed securities questions or violations present.
Every engagement requires full access to the vehicle’s documents and data. The vehicle is treated as the property of its investors, managed by the issuer on their behalf. No record is exempt from review. Withheld information ends the engagement.
Suitable Clients
Issuers of offshore investment offerings that are securities under U.S. law including investment funds, operating companies, real estate developments, and holding companies, including offerings sold through residency-by-investment programs. Open-ended and closed-ended offerings. Issuers that already issue a PFIC Annual Information Statement, and issuers deciding whether to start.
Scope of Services and Fees: Issuer Engagements
PFIC Help offers issuer engagements in four tiers. Each tier is engaged and priced separately. I cannot and will not engage in tax work if there are unaddressed securities questions or violations present. Where a fee is shown as a range, it is fixed after a scoping call.
